More red light safety cameras and speeding cameras coming to Hawaii roads. DOT Director Ed Sniffen said they plan to roll out an average of 10 new red light cameras per year. DOT is currently determining the locations, which will be announced in February, based on crashes, and incidents across the state. KHON2.

Digital permit test now live for Hawaii drivers. It will soon be easier for aspiring drivers to take their permit test. A new statewide service is offering a digital option for what used to only be a written exam. KHON2. Hawaii Public Radio.

Nonprofit’s expansion plan in historic district worries some Wailuku neighbors. Imua Family Services, a nonprofit geared toward children of all abilities, hosts educational activities and community events at Imua Discovery Garden, a 5.6-acre property on Main Street in Wailuku that’s located in a designated historic district, one of three in Maui County — the August 2023 wildfire destroyed most of the structures in the other two.
