State warns of damage to endangered plants at TMT protest site. State conservation enforcement officers are investigating the destruction of four endangered Hawaiian vines in the Mauna Loa Forest Reserve near Puu Huluhulu, the site where protesters have been blocking Mauna Kea Access Road for the last two months. DLNR: Endangered vines destroyed at protest site. The state Department of Natural Resources reported Thursday that four endangered vines have been destroyed during the occupation of Pu‘u Huluhulu. Tribune-Herald.

State Raises Puuhuluhulu Impact Concerns, Kanaka Rangers Respond. The DLNR says it is investigating environmental impacts, while the Kanaka Rangers say they are closing the guided educational walks of the kipuka. Big Island Video News.

Officials Express Concern About Protestors’ Impact on Maunakea Environment.
